Introduction

 Assalamualaikum ! Hallo ! Hye !
Today is the first week “Telecommunication and Networking” subject is been taught in our class and our lecturer’s name is Mr Abdul Razak.
Firstly, he tells us about our course requirement for this semester. We are getting many assignments to do in another class but for this class, there are only two of them. After that he starts to teach us the introduction to telecommunication.
What is communication? Communication is the imparting, conveying or exchange of thoughts, messages, ideas, knowledge or information by sign and sounds like speech, signals, writing or behaviour.
These are a few Communication Models that we learn. (Figure 1,2,3)

After we know the meaning of communication, then mr Razak tells us about telecommunication. Telecommunication is refers to the transfer of data (communications) from a transmitter to a receiver across a distance.
Figure 4-The development of the communication since 1642 until 1876.

Visual History of Telecommunication
There are six elements that consist in telecommunication and technology. They are people, procedure, data, hardware, software and communication.

First element, People-
·        1)peopleware
·       2)  user of the computer
·       3)  most important elements in communication
·       4)  built, analyse, and develop the system
·       5)  operate the computer

There are 2 types of people that is using telecommunication
Figure 5

1) the Professional
Those who have gone true specialised training in theory and technical aspects
e.g. : programmer, computer engineer, etc

2)the end user End user
Those who only knows how to use without special training in the field.
 e.g. : clerks, teachers, etc,

The second element is Procedure. Proceduris an ordered set of tasks for performing some action. It is a clear specification for the sequence, timing, execution, etc. of  process.A procedure is a specification of the series of actions, acts or operations which have to be executed in the same manner in order to obtain always the same result in the same circumstances (for
example, emergency procedures).

Next, the Data. Data is the information stored on the computer system, used by
applications to accomplish task. A representation of facts, concepts, or instructions in a
formalized manner suitable for communication, interpretation, or processing by humans or by automated means.

Hardware refers to any physical objects that are part of the computer system. The basic operations of a computer systems are : IPOS. Computers needs hardware to operate. There are 5 categories of ICT equipments/devices. They are Input, Process, Output, Storage, Communication.
